We currently have a vacancy for a Support Manager within our Private Client division.
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To undertake the role of Admin Support Manager, providing Para planning Support to Financial Practitioners whilst managing and developing 3 other support personnel.
KEY TASKS
To manage and be part of a support team to deliver to designated financial Practitioners with:
- Update and maintenance of client information on the 1st software system
- Obtaining quotes, illustrations and product information using internal systems and software, provider intranet and the internet
- Liaising with product providers
- Client administration
- Producing draft reports and suitability letters
- Administrating client data
- Documenting client meetings
- Providing support for client meetings, including schedules, valuations, quotations and other information/documentation
- To work within the regulatory requirements of the FSA at all times
- Commitment to a Professional Development contract consisting of private study for examinations and the development of practical competences to become a financial adviser – Optional career path
- To ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act, and any other guidance which forms part of the day to day role
- To report any potential client complaints
- To work as part of as well as lead a team within the office environment
SUPERVISOR
On a day to day basis you will report directly to the Support Director but you will be expected to take instructions from other Financial Practitioners and Directors within the practice from time to time.
SUPPORTING ROLES
You will have specific responsibilities for other members of the practice and will be required to develop, mentor and assist less experienced individuals within the practice to ensure the competence of the team and productivity of this function increases.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Hold the Financial Planning Certificate or equivalent
- Experience of working within a Independent Financial Advising Company, either as a administrator or Para planner role
- Should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Should have excellent analytical skills and work in a structured, planned manner
- Must be confident in dealing with members of the public both over the telephone and face to face
- Ability to assess information, make comparisons and identify critical features
- Ability to acquire update and apply new skills and knowledge
- Set own goals and want to deliver agreed targets
- Ability to work well under pressure
GENERAL
You will liaise with all staff within the practice in an open and co-operative manner at all times
